Welcome To The
JCute Initiative.
The Jamaica Collaborative for Universal Technology
Education (JCUTE) initiative is mandated to provide a
solution to the increasing number of the island’s secondary
school students graduating without the requisite
work-related technology skills by building partnerships
between the public and private sector to fund ICT programmes
in schools.
Launched on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Hilton Hotel
in Kingston by the then Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Most
Hon P.J. Patterson, the initiative JCUTE is the title given
to the collaboration between ICT4D Jamaica and the
International Education Collaborative Foundation (IECF), a
non-profit organization based in the USA.
